Today marks the beginnings of a new adventure with the Hankins and the Hatfields. This trip is a year in the making, however, there were several obstacles along the way that had to be overcome in order to make it happen. After it was decided to do this trip, Jerry Hankins fell and had a serious break in his ankle. After a period of healing and rehabilitation it was decided to continue the mission. After the first of the year, I had my own health issues that occurred that also threatened the trip. Fortunately, these were overcome, and we are ready to go.
This is, for lack of a better description, a fact finding mission. Our job is to find answers to questions that many of you have. Is there beer in Germany? Is there snow in the Alps? Is there apple strudel in Austria? Is there wine in Italy? Did Cinderella really live in the Neuschwanstein Castle? We will report the answers to these questions and many more. So sit back, travel with us to Bavaria and enjoy the trip. The pictures posted are a few of the stops we will make along the way.
